About Nicole

Nicole began practising meditation in 2010 and, having experienced benefits in her own life, decided to train to teach mindfulness to others in 2014. Since then she has been running 8-week mindfulness courses, taster sessions, workshops, and staff well-being days in schools, local authorities, and corporate settings.

Nicole holds a PhD in Psychology from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London, which focused on compassion-based approaches. Her publications can be found here.

Nicole has trained with Bangor University’s Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice, the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, and Mindfulness in Schools Project. She is a trained supervisor of mindfulness teachers and has experience in training mindfulness teachers. Nicole has experience in writing and voicing mindfulness audio guidance for organisations, and in running retreats.

Nicole continues her own practice of meditation and regularly attends retreats, including silent and solitary retreats. She has a particular interest in the science of meditation, compassion meditation, and mindfulness of dream and sleep.

Nicole teaches within a wide radius, having previously taught in London, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.

She is a registered teacher with BAMBA, the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches, adhering to their Good Practice Guidelines, and is registered with the DBS Update Service.
